Steering Committee Meeting #1

NELLISTON & PALATINE BRIDGE, NY – The Villages of Nelliston and Palatine Bridge will be holding their first Project Advisory Committee meeting for the Joint Comprehensive Plan on [Day of Week], [Month] [Date], [Year] from [Start Time] – [End Time] at [Meeting Location and Address].

A comprehensive plan is a long-range policy framework that guides the growth, investment, revitalization, and conservation efforts of the Villages of Nelliston and Palatine Bridge over the next 5–10 years. It identifies shared community priorities, evaluates existing conditions and emerging trends, and establishes policies and strategies related to land use, housing, infrastructure, economic development, transportation, natural resources, and overall quality of life. Once adopted, the Comprehensive Plan will serve as a coordinated foundation for local decision-making, zoning and regulatory updates, capital improvement planning, and pursuit of state and federal grant funding.

The purpose of the Project Advisory Committee’s first meeting is to review the scope of work and project schedule, and to provide initial input on key focus areas and the overall public engagement strategy. The Committee is a collaborative, representative group of village officials, stakeholders, and community members who will help guide the planning process and ensure the Plan reflects the shared values, priorities, and long-term vision of both Nelliston and Palatine Bridge.

The Committee will be assisted by LaBella Associates, who will lead the planning process and facilitate public engagement. The planning effort is intended to be inclusive and stakeholder-driven, ensuring that community input directly informs the Plan’s goals and implementation strategies. Community members will be invited to participate in public meetings and engagement activities throughout the process, including workshops, surveys, and other opportunities for feedback.
